Platonic is a one page WordPress theme for restaurants whose guests ask one question before they order: “Can I eat this?”. Enter each dish once with its allergens, diet labels and price. Platonic prints them on the menu, on the dish page and on a printable card with a QR code, and takes the table booking on the same page.
The theme ships with WPBakery Page Builder and Slider Revolution, imports the full demo in one click, and is documented in a multi-page manual.
A MENU GUESTS WITH ALLERGIES CAN TRUST
In the EU, every menu must declare 14 allergens. Platonic turns that legal duty into a selling point. You tag each dish once in the dish editor. The theme then does the work:
- Allergen lists for three markets: the European Union (14 allergens, codes A to R), the United States (9 major allergens) and Australia and New Zealand. Pick your region in Theme Options > Post Setting > Menu & Allergens.
- Diet labels on every dish: Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-free, Lactose-free, Halal and Spicy.
- A Full Menu page where guests tick “Hide dishes containing” their allergens and see only the dishes they can order. One tap on a phone.
- A print layout with a QR code, so the paper menu on the table opens the same live, filterable menu on the guest’s phone.
- Traces, additives and an allergen notice for your legal text.
- Prices with the currency, decimals and separators of your country.
BOOKING ON THE SAME PAGE
A guest who just filtered the menu books the table without leaving the site:
- The Restaurant Reservations plugin is styled to match the theme. Date and time pickers only offer slots inside your opening hours.
- On phones, a bar at the bottom of the screen holds three buttons: Menu, Book a table and Call. Each one works with one tap. The Call button dials the number you set in Theme Options > General Setting > Phone Number.
- The home page is a one page layout: menu, combos, team, gallery and the booking form reached by one scroll or one menu tap.
