Hedmark is a clean, minimal personal blog theme for writers, photographers and lifestyle bloggers: big photos, quiet typography, a calm sidebar and a gold accent. Version 2.0 keeps the approved look and the simple way of working, and rebuilds everything underneath for PHP 8.5 and WordPress 7.1.
What is new in 2.0
- PHP 8.2–8.5 and WordPress 7.1: no warnings or notices
- Page Builder and post format fields on the free Secure Custom Fields plugin (or ACF PRO) – same fields, old pages keep their content
- New Hedmark Instagram Grid widget: your photos as the footer strip, no Instagram API
- Safer one-click demo import: checked downloads, manual fallback, fresh dates, safe re-runs
- Author box with profile photo and social links, sticky sidebar, “More About me” link
- Lighter pages: no jQuery on most pages, 6 KB icon font, lazy images and players
- Full-page search window, X (Twitter) logo, Google+ removed
- Security: escaped output, sanitized settings, Theme Check clean
